The study combined the results from the largest studies around the world on the health impact of light and moderately intense physical activity.

Science Daily reports:

“The good news from this study is that you don’t have to be an exercise freak to benefit from physical activity.

Just achieving the recommended levels of physical activity (equivalent to 30 minutes daily of moderate intensity activity on 5 days a week) reduces the risk of death by 19 percent … while 7 hours per week of moderate activity (compared with no activity) reduces the risk of death by 24 percent”.

Interval exercise, where individuals exercised for 2 minutes at 97% of there maximum heart rate (MHR) followed by a recovery period of three minutes of low intensity exercise burned the same amount of calories as a program using aerobic exercise. The difference in fat burning however was dramatically different. Most studies have found that the calories burned using different forms of exercise were about the same. The surprise finding was that interval exercise increased the presence of fat burning enzymes, fat loss was up to 9 times higher, and the fat burning effects continued for 24 hours. It is really easy to put this research into practical use. For example, instead of walking at the same pace for 30 minutes, try walking at your normal pace for 5 minutes then speed up to a full speed walk for 2 1/2, then go back to normal. Switch back and forth with this system to finish your 30 minute walk. You’ll be surprised at the difference in fat loss that can occur.

Studies have found that in general, the optimal temperature for sleep is quite cool, around 60 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures that fall too far below or above this range can lead to restlessness.

Temperatures in this range help facilitate the decrease in core body temperature that in turn initiates sleepiness. A growing number of studies are finding that temperature regulation plays a role in many cases of chronic insomnia.

Researchers have shown, for example, that insomniacs tend to have a warmer core body temperature than normal sleepers just before bed, which leads to heightened arousal and a struggle to fall asleep.

For troubled sleepers, a cool room and a hot-water bottle placed at the feet, which rapidly dilates blood vessels and therefore actually helps lower core temperature, can push the internal thermostat to a better setting.

Dr. Larry Palevsky is a board-certified pediatrician trained at the New York School of Medicine, and one of the leading physicians in the country who, from my view, is actually able to compellingly and convincingly provide sound, rational, scientific justification as to why you need to seriously reconsider the wisdom of choosing vaccines as an option to prevent against most diseases.

Dr. Palevsky says:

“When I went through medical school, I was taught that vaccines were completely safe and completely effective, and I had no reason to believe otherwise. All the information that I was taught was pretty standard in all the medical schools and the teachings and scientific literature throughout the country. I had no reason to disbelieve it.

Over the years, I kept practicing medicine and using vaccines and thinking that my approach to vaccines was completely onboard with everything else I was taught.

But more and more, I kept seeing that my experience of the world, my experience in using and reading about vaccines, and hearing what parents were saying about vaccines were very different from what I was taught in medical school and my residency training.

… and it became clearer to me as I read the research, listened to more and more parents, and found other practitioners who also shared the same concern that vaccines had not been completely proven safe or even completely effective, based on the literature that we have today.

… It didn’t appear that the scientific studies that we were given were actually appropriately designed to prove and test the safety and efficacy.

It also came to my attention that there were ingredients in there that were not properly tested, that the comparison groups were not appropriately set up, and that conclusions made about vaccine safety and efficacy just did not fit the scientific standards that I was trained to uphold in my medical school training.”

Hello to you all. I have had much disruption lately with this site and it’s former IP. I am hoping that we are set and will see a brighter future coming up.

As you probably have noticed I try to stay away from a political form on this site. I just can not help myself one this one. I do feel that there are two sides to this but I keep watching the current administrations taking away my rights. I just ask that you look into this post. It is for your consideration, and contact your representative with your thoughts.

CNET News has obtained a summary of a proposal from Senators Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) that would create an Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor, part of the Executive Office of the President. That office would receive the power to disconnect, if it believes they’re at risk of a cyberattack, “critical” computer networks from the Internet.

Senate bill 773 (The Cybersecurity Act of 2009) is causing a flurry of opposition from groups like Campaign for Liberty, which has sent out letters to their members appealing for them to take action against passage of this bill.

If you’re thinking this is another one of those “out there” conspiracy theories drummed up to discredit the President or any part of the current administration, think again.

Senate bill 773 (The Cybersecurity Act of 2009) is a very real, and very alarming, piece of legislation that is pending action right now.

Thank you, and look for more posts, and quicker.

Results suggest that a diet high in fruits and vegetables is beneficial in preventing and treating the cancer.Researchers conducted an evidence-based review of dietary recommendations in the prevention of prostate cancer as well as in the management of patients with prostate cancer.

The consumption of tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green tea, and vitamins including Vitamin E and selenium SEEMED to lead to a decreased risk of prostate cancer. Consumption of highly processed or charcoaled meats seemed to be correlated with prostate cancer.

The power of food in normalizing chronic disease and helping you achieve optimal health is quite profound. So I’m always heartened and encouraged when I see a study where the authors conclude:

“Although not conclusive, results suggest that general dietary modification has a beneficial effect on the prevention of prostate cancer.

In patients with prostate cancer, dietary therapy allows patients to be an active participant in their treatment.”

It’s hard to believe, but Interpol was notified, and the U.S. Marshal Service was being deployed to Mexico in search of this mother and her child. There only crime was to say “No thank you” to the conventional medical treatment.

“I am shocked at the court’s ruling. For the court to take custody, disregard the parents’ right to parent, and dismiss the child’s own wishes is a travesty. Our Constitution affords certain rights, and the court has completely trampled on them. It is still unclear as to what exactly ‘the compelling state interest’ is that the court used to justify this ruling.” Said Gretchen DuBeau Executive Director of the American Association for Health Freedom.

Most states have laws that allow parents to refuse treatment on religious grounds. Minnesota, however, removed this right two decades ago with the help of Arthur Caplan, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Caplan has stated that “religious exceptions are bad public policy because effective medical treatment for a child shouldn’t be sacrificed for a parent’s beliefs.”

It’s shocking but true that, increasingly, you .are being told to sacrifice your beliefs as to what’s in the best interest of your child, and simply go along with a program that is designed to uphold the status quo of conventional medicine rather than promote true health.

Researchers reviewed the world’s literature for evidence that vitamin D affects physical and athletic performance. Numerous studies, particularly in the German literature in the 1950s, show vitamin d-producing ultraviolet light improves athletic performance. Furthermore, literature indicates physical and athletic performance is seasonal; it peaks when vitamin D levels peak, declines as they decline.
Vitamin D also increases the size and number of fast twitch muscle fibers. Most cross-sectional and randomized controlled studies show that vitamin D levels are directly associated with musculoskeletal performance.

NHL Hockey Players, Major league pitchers, professional soccer players and hundreds of recreational athletes have undergone this procedure, which is called platelet-rich plasma therapy.

Experts in sports medicine say that it could eventually improve the treatment of stubborn injuries like tennis elbow and knee tendonitis.

The technique involves injecting portions of a patient’s blood directly into the injured area, which catalyzes the body’s instincts to repair muscle, bone and other tissue. It even appears to help regenerate ligament and tendon fibers, which could shorten rehabilitation time and possibly eliminate the need for surgery.

If your child is vaccinated according to the CDC’s recommended schedule, by the time your child starts kindergarten he or she will have received 48 doses of 14 vaccines. Of these, 36 doses will be given during the first 18 months of life.

And now consider this: one vaccine injected into a 13-pound, two-month old infant is equivalent to 10 doses of the same in a 130-pound adult. Where is the common sense in these guidelines?

Would any adult concede to being injected with 360 doses of vaccines within a couple of years’ span; equal to one injection every other day for two years?

Public health officials have NEVER proven that it is indeed safe to inject this number and volume of vaccines into infants. What’s more, they cannot explain why, concurrent with an increasing number of vaccinations, there has been an explosion of neurological and immune system disorders in American children. It is becoming increasingly clear that conventional medicine is working against the public welfare.
