In 2000, I returned to school to increase my knowledge in the sciences and to study an Eastern discipline at the Center for Vital Living. After thirteen months of intense study, I graduated with a diploma certificate in 2001. In June, I took and passed the National Certification Examination through the National Certification Board in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
In the fall of 2001, I was a team member on the medical staff for the World Police and Fire Games in Indianapolis. This event is an Olympic game for those two professions. The next year in February, I was selected as a therapist for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. It was a world class experience not only from the athletes with which I worked but also from the people and therapists I met.
I have operated my own business, Associate M.T.s, at 253 Airport North Office Park in Fort Wayne, IN since December of 2000. I enjoy working with and watching the staff grow in their knowledge and experience. We pride ourselves on the quality health giving service we provide to our clients.
My specialties are therapeutic massage, repetitive use injury treatment, and on-site chair massage. I do a deep tissue massage that is effective but not as painful as some modalities. It incorporates joint mobilizations, stretching, and massage. Deep tissue massage should not be extremely painful. If it is, the body will tighten up more as it fights off the pain.
I also do a fully clothed massage called Fijian Massage during which the client is on the floor, on mats, and the massage is done with the feet. This massage is truly a deep massage!
I feel massage should be affordable to all and at times donate my hands to certain causes. Please call me or send me an e-mail. I will respond to you as quickly as possible.
